May 1995. One of the most serious medical journals in the US, "Journal of the American Medical Association" published an article entitled "Doctors should prescribe their patients prayer?". The text had a great impact on the international scientific community. A few years later, many American doctors - even atheists - admitted that prayer helps to heal. It's not, of course, to replace drugs or bistouries with prayers addressed to the deity, but to use prayer along with allopathy. What is the reason of this urge? The fact that US scientists have managed to measure precisely the effect of prayer on the human body.
Physically, Prayer produces a "relaxation reflex", which translates into a slow heart rate and breathing, a drop in blood pressure, a decrease in the need for oxygen and production of carbon dioxide.
Mentally, it brings a sense of peace, prosperity removing fear and dark thoughts.
Patients for whom prayers were uttered, healed
In their research, doctors have found a phenomenon downright surprising: prayers collective had a stunning effect on certain diseases - such as proving experiment led by cardiologist Randolph Byrd - on 393 patients admitted to the Cardiology Clinic of San Francisco. The practitioner has divided the patients into three groups: A, B and C. Then he asked them to different prayer groups in various cities across the US to pray for patients in Group A. At the end of the experiment, the cardiologist found that the patient's condition improved dramatically compared to those in groups B and C.
Today, both in America and in Europe, there are many such "prayer groups", which works closely with various health institutions. One of the most popular is in France and is managed by Maguy Lebrun, author of a best-selling book entitled "Physicians in heaven, on earth doctors" book published in 1987 Publishing "Robert Laffont."
The compound, after 25 years, only four people, French prayer group today counts 400 members, who meet once a month in a church in Paris. During the meetings, each participant is invited to address, the heart of hearts, prayers for the sick. Supposedly this beneficial energy giant is "medicine" that heals faster than any treatment discovered by scientists.
